Graduating Students of SLTCFI Attends Recollection


A two-day recollection activity for the graduating students of SLTCFI was held last March 20-21, 2009 at Imperial Building, Daraga, Albay, which aims to strengthen the students’ spiritual formation and morale behavior.



Sisters Annie, Inday and Loles from the congregation of Santa Rafaela facilitated the two-day event along with three seminarians who provided able assistance.


Various activities were conducted in order for the students to reach a deeper understanding of their purpose and find the Lord’s presence in their experiences. The meaningful activities include candle giving, sharing of experiences and sentiments, reflections while listening to religious music, and moments of prayer.




Rev. Father Joseph Salando Vice-chancellor and parochial vicar from St. Rapahel Parish, Legazpi City together with another priest gave the sacrament of confession to the students. The recollection was concluded with a mass celebration officiated by Father Salando.


The said recollection provided a means for the graduating students to realize the importance of building a harmonious relationship with their classmates, friends, mentors and parents. More importantly they were inspired even more and was enlightened to develop and strengthen their faith and spirituality especially that they are already about to face the challenges of the bigger world.

SLTCFI Conducts Seminar on Career Opportunities for Graduating Students


SLTCFI conducted a seminar on “Career Opportunities in I.T. with Career Seeking Techniques” last March 13, 2009 at Harong Kan Sagrada Familia Hall in Bogtong, Legazpi City. The activity aims to prepare the SLTCFI graduating batch in the job market.



The seminar was attended by 230 graduating students donning corporate attire. The invited speakers were James Nuñez who discussed about interpersonal skills, Cathy Rey who shared job seeking techniques, Guia Asaytuno who talked about job application and resume writing, David Miguel who discussed about call center job opportunities, and Alexander Osias who gave an overview of web marketing/SEO and what are the opportunities that it offers.


The IT sector is a huge market that is continuously growing and the seminar provided a platform to the students to know how to fit in the industry – by possessing aptitude, adequate knowledge and skills.



As graduating students, they must have the confidence and readiness to enter the corporate world, and the seminar was instrumental in this pursuit. The students were able to gain valuable information and techniques that will help them in deciding which career path to take and equip them with the ability on how to land their dream job easily.
