SLTCFI Signs Memorandum of Agreement with Tiwi Community College and LGU-Tiwi

SL Technological College Foundation Inc. (SLTCFI) inked a Memorandum of Agreement with LGU-Tiwi and Tiwi Community College (TCC) to open a satellite branch in Tiwi Albay which aims to provide Tiwi residents easy access to short-term courses as well as training programs being offered through the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship (PGS) Program.




The MoA signing was held at LGU-Tiwi Conference Room in Tiwi Albay last March 24, 2009. SLTCFI is represented by its President and CEO Rosemarie Quinto-Rey and Board Secretary Joseph Quinto while Lea C. Costo represented TCC and Honorable Mayor Jaime Villanueva represented the LGU-Tiwi. Also present to witness the auspicious signing ceremony were SLTCFI Marketing Director Jaime Nuñez, TCC-CSG President Hermie B. Ciocson, Tiwi PESO Manager Merle L. Lomibao and faculty and staff from SLTCFI, TCC and Tiwi municipal members.

This tie-up between SLTCFI, TCC and LGU-Tiwi is a commitment to the present administration’s education and training programs being spearheaded by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) that is geared towards addressing the country’s employment issues especially in this challenging time of global recession.


SLTCFI Tiwi branch will offer two-year courses for Hardware Servicing NC II and Computer Programming NC IV. The school will also offer the following short-term courses: Bookkeeping NC III, Consumer Electronics NC II, Finishing Course for Call Center Agent, Computer Hardware Servicing NC II, Computer Programming NC IV, Carpentry NC II, Tour Guiding Services NC II, Professional Assistant 2D Animation and Technical Drafting. Classes will be initially held in Tiwi Community College.
